Helping dyslexics to achieve their potential

I'm Sian Tobin. I am a teacher and I work with dyslexic children to help them to realise their wonderful potential. Dyslexia is nothing to be ashamed of. I'm dyslexic myself and I know it's a gift of seeing the world in a different way. It's common to some of the greatest business people, engineers, architects, artists and entrepreneurs in the world.

I work with dyslexic people to help them to unlock their abilities.

Working to fill the gap in the school system

Imagine being bright, maybe very bright indeed, but failing at school. Imagine being told that, no matter how hard you try, the problem is that you're lazy or stupid. Your experience of school is one of being constantly humiliated and often bullied.

It's a common problem, even today. There is no legal obligation for schools to employ a dyslexia specialist. This is despite the fact that one child in five is dyslexic and is taught by a system that ignores their issues and fails to realise their potential. It's a one size fits all approach that fails to address the needs of 20 per cent of all pupils.

Happily, there is a way to fix the problem.
